Than has worked at a private dental practice in Wimborne for the past 20 years before joining Avenue House in December 2014. Than qualified in 1985 at the Institute of Dental Medicine, Rangoon, Burma. He obtained an M.Sc. in Endodontic (root filling) from Eastman Dental Hospital, University of London in 1993. Than likes to have a good professional relationship with his patients and to provide dentistry in a relaxed and gentle manner.
Beyond his primary clinical responsibilities, Than contributes his time to several community and professional initiatives. He serves as a Patron of the Gandawin Harmony Trust, an organisation dedicated to providing essential funeral and burial assistance to families in need. Additionally, he is an Executive Committee member of the Burmese Doctors and Dentists Association in the UK, where he regularly supports the next generation of professionals by delivering educational lectures and teachings for young dentists.
